Jane Hale joined Anglia Innovation Partnership LLP as Community Hub Associate in September 2024.
- What does your role involve?
As a Community Hub Associate at Anglia Innovation Partnership LLP, I am front of house and first point of contact for tenants and visitors at our Centrum Community Hub. My responsibilities include managing the reception area, facilitating meeting room bookings, and coordinating catering services for various events, ranging from in-house meetings to private firm gatherings. I also have the privilege of welcoming VIP visitors to our park, showcasing our innovative research and highlighting our stunning facilities and café. As well as supporting people arriving at the Hub, my role involves collaboration with a dedicated team of colleagues, ensuring smooth operations in handling deliveries, postal services and any queries related to our building and surrounding facilities.
- What is your favourite thing about your role?
What I love about my role is the variety it offers. No two days are the same, and the dynamic atmosphere allows me to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds. The delightful café, featuring freshly baked cakes every day, adds an extra layer of enjoyment to my work environment.
- What is challenging about your role?
I wouldn’t classify any aspect of my role as particularly challenging; I find it stimulating. We manage a wide range of enquiries from our visitors and the bustling lunchtime crowd, at the café, keeps things very lively. The biggest challenge, perhaps, is resisting the allure of our tempting baked goods!
- Where have you worked before?
Before joining Anglia Innovation Partnership, I worked with an events company where I managed reception and handled bookings for hotels, trains, and flights. Whilst my previous position shared similarities, my current role is more engaging and varied experience.
- An interesting fact about yourself?
I played a role in launching “Tastes of Norfolk” alongside Barry Skipper, the former vice chairman of NCFC. This initiative has since evolved into “Tastes of East Anglia,” showcasing the region’s culinary delights.
- What do you like to do outside of work?
In my leisure time, I enjoy attending Motown events and live gigs. I am also a proud grandparent to my granddaughter, Lydia, and I have a playful miniature dachshund named Frankie, both of whom keep life exciting!
