The Norwich Research Park campus community walked together at Norwich Pride this year with approximately 70 people from across the campus taking part, the largest group the research campus has ever had represented for the pride parade.

LGBTQIA+ representatives, from across the research campus, have been working together, during the year, to support and promote each other’s events. For the 16th year of Norwich Pride, a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community, representatives from the UEA, the hospital and the research institutes and businesses on the campus met, on Saturday 27th July, outside the Forum, in the centre of Norwich, to walk together as part of the parade.

Martin Lippiatt, one of the organisers at UEA said, “It was a wonderful, colourful day, with so many members of our broad LGBTQIA+ community showing how proud they really are.”

More information about other events and activities celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community can be found on the Norwich Pride website, where you can also keep up with updates, and plans, about next year’s celebration.
