The Anglia Innovation Partnership (AIP) team, the campus management company, at Norwich Research Park, hosted its first ‘old-school sports day’ for the business community, on campus, on Tuesday the 18th June, on the lawn and terrace area at the back of the Centrum building.
The weather was excellent, as teams from different companies, in the community, turned out to compete in several rounds of ‘old-school’ sports day games.
The first event was an egg and spoon race, followed by a wheelbarrow race and a three-legged race. Finally, all the teams competed in a nail-biting round of tug of war!
We were delighted to have teams competing with such enthusiasm and competitive spirit! Companies taking part included Alora, Colorifix, Big C and the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital Microbiology Department.
The three top teams were awarded bronze, silver and gold medals. Alora fielded two teams and won first and third prize. The Colorifix team got second place.
The AIP team will continue to hold regular business and social events, for companies on campus, to enhance the experience for staff working at companies on Norwich Research Park.
