Everyone can be a scientist!
Anyone can be a scientist no matter their background including race, age, sex, disability.
The main characteristics scientists all share is their skills of observation, describing, experimenting and passion for their subject.
This means if you love science you could be a scientist too!
Inspiration behind the game
Dr Emma Waters, a scientist at the Quadram Institute, wanted to show the wonderful diversity of scientists we have here in her home city of Norwich. She wanted to give children the chance to see scientists who are similar to them so they could have a visible role model in science.
“I am passionate about this because I am only a scientist due to public engagement – if people cannot see visible role models, they can dismiss the possibility of becoming something they potentially want to be.”
