How we store and share your information

Your information is stored in secure electronic systems on secure servers.

When you subscribe to a service through our website, all information is held on a single Campaign Monitor mailing list. This list is used to contact you with relevant information, such as our quarterly magazine; The Link, E- newsletters, Bulletins.

Upon subscription you will receive an email link that will enable you to unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time.

JISC Mail

Every new mailing list has a default Privacy Notice, the notice explains how information (provided by subscribers, when joining a mailing list or using a mailing list) is used, stored and (in some cases) shared, and how it can be removed. The notice reads:

If you post messages to this mailing list, be aware that any personal data you share within your email (email address, name and signature information) may be visible to others. Your email address will continue to be subscribed to the mailing list until you ask the list owner, or JiscMail helpline to remove your details. Any email messages you post to the mailing list will remain in the mailing list web-accessible archives, until you ask the list owner, or JiscMail helpline to remove these details.

The privacy notice any changes made to the privacy notice will be shared with subscribers.

Security of your information

We are committed to keeping your personal information safe and secure. Your personal information is created, stored and transmitted securely in a variety of electronic formats. Access to your personal information is limited to staff who have a legitimate interest in it for the purposes of carrying out their contractual duties.

Note that, although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

Retaining and disposing of your information

You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time through your unique link. Upon unsubscribing your information will be automatically removed from the mailing list.

The communications team will undertake an annual review of the mailing list to ensure that the information held is accurate, relevant and not outdated. Any data not meeting these standards will be deleted from our mailing list.
