Professor David Richardson
Vice-Chancellor, University of East Anglia

David is the Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Bacterial Biochemistry at the University of East Anglia (UEA) on the Norwich Research Park. He joined UEA in 1991 and has held positions of Dean of Faculty of Science, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) and Deputy Vice-Chancellor before being appointed as Vice-Chancellor in 2014.
He is also a Non-Executive Director of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) and Board Member of New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership. His research group is active in the area of bacterial bioenergetics, and his work has shed important light on the mechanism of greenhouse gas production by bacteria and the molecular basis and function of bacterial nanowires.
