The BBSRC Connecting Research Cultures conference was hosted at the John Innes Conference Centre in March where over 150 colleagues from across the UK attended the two day event.
It proved to be a great opportunity for researchers and technicians to share good practice for how to create equity and an inclusive culture, recognising the work currently taking place to support the full range of diverse people working in the UK research landscape.
Roz Bird, CEO of Anglia Innovation Partnership, the campus management organsation at Norwich research paerk, said, “This event was a fantastic way to share good practice and ensure that the very best research takes place in the UK, to solve some of the world’s most critical problems, create economic growth and ensure everyone involved in research in the UK can flourish in the complex world in which we live.
“Super supportive environments are being nurtured in the UK to ensure the delivery of high quality Engineering Biology and its commercialisation which will benefit industry and all people who want to participate.”
