Launch of the Norwich Institute of Healthy Aging (NIHA)





NIHA is a new research centre based at UEA, working with researchers across Norwich Research Park, local government and the wider community on a range of projects to improve health and lives in the region. 

Researchers will work collaboratively on areas including nutrition, physical activity, smoking cessation, sleep, social activity and medication adherence, and the implications of behaviour change on health and wellbeing.   

This online launch event will be hosted by UEA Vice Chancellor, Prof David Richardson and NIHA Director, Prof Anne Marie Minihane, and will include a keynote from George MacGinnis, Challenge Director, Healthy Ageing at UKRI, plus Pecha Kucha presentations from the following speakers:

  • James Bullion, Norfolk County Council & Adam Clark, Norwich City Council
  • Prof Wendy Hardeman, School of Health Sciences, UEA
  • Dr Cathrina Edwards, Quadram Institute
  • Martin Rix, NorseCare
